Tell us a little about your event. How many people attended, where did they come from, how many days was it, and what type of event did you host?
As the HR Director at Lavazza, I am delighted to share my thoughts on our recent Christmas party held at Ashridge House. With 80 attendees, including our international colleagues, the event was a fantastic celebration of our team’s hard work and commitment throughout the year.
What were your primary goals for the event, and how did our Ashridge House help you accomplish them? How was your experience working with our events team?
From start to finish, I genuinely could not fault the venue, management, or logistics. The staff at Ashridge House went above and beyond to ensure that everyone had a memorable experience. Jamie, Nicki, and even team members like Olvie worked tirelessly to make our event so special. Sophie and Jamie make an outstanding team!
In making our decision, our goals were to find a great venue that offered value for money, and Ashridge House certainly delivered on both fronts! If I was to ever get married again, this would be the venue! We aimed to bring people together to celebrate in a five-star setting, and they provided just that. The exceptional service and atmosphere of our Christmas party will be spoken about for years to come.
From the moment I met Nicki and began working to secure the contract, it was clear that she embodies a modern and personable approach, making the process of doing business incredibly easy. She was consistently checking in with us, especially as our own internal logistics were quite complicated, to ensure that everything was on track for a successful event.
Jamie exemplifies dedication beyond just doing a job; it's evident that he truly loves partnering with clients. He approached every request, big or small, with enthusiasm and a willingness to help. In fact, Jamie even assisted me in preparing for my own speech, ensuring that I was running on time and ready to make a great impression. Even the reception team and Sophie was ready and waiting for me at 8am in the morning, demonstrating their commitment to ensuring a smooth experience from the very beginning!

Which rooms or spaces did you use during your event, and what made them a great fit for your needs?
Our international colleagues were also truly impressed with everything the venue had to offer. As a premium brand, we have very high expectations for our events, and I can confidently say that Ashridge House exceeded them all. The team displayed a friendly demeanor and eagerness to please, with no request deemed too big. Jamie’s commitment was particularly impressive as he stayed later than planned to help us manage the timing of our speeches, ensuring that our evening party kicked off to a great start.
Did your attendees stay in our on-site accommodation? What feedback did you receive about their experience?
Our staff felt genuinely welcomed and well-looked after, with many expressing their desire to return next year, which speaks volumes about the positive experiences we had. The newly decorated bedrooms were perfect, showcasing exceptional cleanliness and comfort, and the gathering points created a warm atmosphere for our team to mingle and celebrate.

What were your favourite amenities or features of Ashridge House?
A highlight of our evening was the lights trail, Ashridge Illuminated, which allowed our staff to experience the stunning grounds of Ashridge House at their best. It was an exceptional experience that truly enhanced our celebration. The security team throughout the event was also very pleasant and helped to ensure a safe environment for everyone present.
