The Vault is a bar in Ashridge House’s former Evidence Room, a secure and fireproof safe room for important documents, secrets, and judicial evidence. Whether having a drink at the end of a long day of meetings or a celebratory glass to toast a special occasion, you can always feel at home here. Watch the sunset over the north lawn as you lounge in the cosy interior, perfect for summer and winter months alike. Due to the upscale atmosphere of our cocktail bar, we do not allow dogs or muddy boots inside the premises.

Monday to Saturday: 4pm — Midnight
Sunday: Midday — Midnight
Open to adults 18+

Fresh perspective, classic recipes
We serve every drink with a side of history. Always sourced from local and seasonal ingredients, our signature cocktails tell stories of the rich history of the house. Past drinks have included The Figaroni, naturally sweetened with honey from bees in our gardens, honey being a great favourite of Elizabeth I who spent her youth at Ashridge House. Menus change regularly to reflect seasonal ingredients.

Craft beer on tap
Our craft beer suppliers are Crate Brewery, from Hackney Wick, East London and Purity Brewing Co, from Warwickshire, two beloved and sustainable breweries in the UK. We feature some of their most popular and flavoursome beers, all made consciously and responsibly in some of the World's most sustainable kits.
