Christmas Gift Guide 2022

Christmas is nearly upon us, and there is no better way to show someone how much you appreciate them than a well-thought-out, personal gift! So, this year skip the bathroom gift sets and get them something unique. For plant lovers and gin connoisseurs, to cake tasters and history buffs alike, the presents we have selected are sure to delight all your loved ones.

For the one with green fingers

If you have someone in your life that loves gazing at flowers or enjoys an afternoon wandering through the gardens, why not treat them to an annual garden membership at Ashridge House?

No matter what time of day or year you visit, there is always something to take your breath away. It may be the avenue of rhododendrons and carpet of bluebells in the spring, the formal bedding in the summer, the glorious autumn hues, or the snow-covered winter wonderland.

Watch the trees change colour, with spectacular views of Lazell Garden, Liquidamber Avenue, and the incredible Italian gardens!

Let your favourite people have a wonderfully relaxed afternoon in one of our heritage spaces, whilst enjoying classic warm scones prepared by our Head Pastry Chef, and of course, delicate pastries including chocolate hazelnut gateau, white chocolate and yuzu macaroon, strawberry and dark chocolate macaroon, & coconut and cherry pebble.

All are served with the perfect cup of our finest tea or artisan coffee.

Afternoon Tea tickets include access to our beautiful private gardens so you can take a walk about the grounds before enjoying your tasty treats in the magnificent Ashridge House.

For the one who loves history

Starting as a Monastery in 1283, before becoming one of the many private residences of King Henry VIII. There are over 700 years of history to learn about when it comes to Ashridge House.

With each of our rooms steeped in history, keep an eye out for the little details, like the entwined “A’s” in The Ante room which represents the Christian names of Adelbert (3rd Earl Brownlow) and his wife Adelaide who married in 1868, at the time the new interiors of the room were created.

The house tour will finish with free time in the private gardens at Ashridge House where you will be able to explore our beautiful gardens and parkland designed by Humphry Repton.
